I have playing with this friends bow, fairly heavy riser, extreme recurved limbs, tan glass, 62" states 56" string. I made a string and shooting it seems quick. Also it has a brush rest, leather and bristles, Anyone know around when it may have been made? and by who.

Found the answer on the web for those that want to know. In the serial number the first 2 digits are the bow length, the next 2; the month made, the next 2; the year made, and and other numbers the number of the bow made that month.

Thanks for posting that. I've got an old Herters in the basement I'm going to check. CKruse

Found some other info, bows were designed by Bob Barrie, who later started the Rocky Mountain broadhead company.
