Does anyone know how I can find out any information on the old Par-X aluminum bows that were made in Jackson Michigan?  :help:

Are we talking the Par-X 3 peace aluminum screwed together with 4 screws ? I have shoot several models of those bows. And I guess I would say they shoot like a bow.But are a little twingie, cause of the aluminum..I believe those Par-X alum date from around 1951-52 until around 1960 not possitive.I will try and find my catalogs...Here is another little tip about Par-X which can be used to start a conversation..or....But without a dout that was one of the first production 3 peace or piece take down bows ever offered, long before anyone else.It was later offered with fiberglass limbs around 1960,but I will have to look to be sure...The aluminum limbs would take a set after a few years of use.None the less pretty cool bows........bowdoc

Thanks Bowdoc..Someone called me to see if I wanted to buy a model called a Junior.  I was only about 7 when this model was built and not into trad archery at that time.  Any idea what it could be worth???   Tom

Hi Tom well the aluminum and fiberglass limbed and aluminum riser bows from back then are kinda low-end collecters and shooters.I sold several different models and the best I ever did. When used bows were selling pretty good was 125.00 at auction....The worst at auction when used bows were not selling to good ?? 26.00.....But the Jr.I would say 30.00-60.00 or so pending on condition....bowdoc
