I got my copy and its a great read.  Its not all traditional archery mind you, but a good book about bowhunting in Australia.  Written like a hunters journal, I read it to my son at bed time, he loves hunting stories.   :D

Bill started off shooting longbows, but like most of us moved to the "arrow shooting thing" as he had trouble with his shoulders.

Later on in years Bill turned back to stick and string after talking to the good Dr Don T and was one of the founding members of The Traditional Bowhunters of Australia.

I still cann't believe he's gone ... I sure do miss you uncle Bill.

Al,
When I was there in 97 I wish I would have known then what I know now.  According to the book, he was based out of Yeppoon, and I just happened to spend a day there while on weekend liberty from a Marine Corp training op in Shoal Water Bay.  I would have really liked to meet him.

Spent more time at Shoal water myself to ever care to remember! But knowing Bill, even if you did get to his place, he would have been out hunting ...lol.
