open stance

will a too open of a stance cause a bad shot? how do you know your shoulders are paralell to the target?

If your shoulders are parallel to the target you directly facing it. That's not good. You want to be perpendicular to the target, somewhere in between would be an open stance.

i believe this is why my shot is collapsing my shoulders are facing way to the left like a 45 degree angle

I think you explained it perfectly Ron. One has to know the definition of parallel and perpendicular though.

An open stance is a good stance but usually a person finds they naturally gravitate to one stance over the others.

There are pros's and cons of each stance: Open, Neutral and Closed.

If you have good form you will be able to shoot them all.

Shooting the stickbow is a good book on all of this and I think you would enjoy the book as many of your good questions have answers within the contents of the book.
