Bows built for a buddy

These are two bows that I made for a buddy of mine, they aren't great but they do shoot. Now that I have seen them in pictures I can see a couple of places that the tiller could be improved but he likes the way they shoot so I won't mess with them. I'll chalk it up to experience and try not to repeat the mistakes.

The first one is an ash board bow that came in around 50#@28. I don't recall the length on either of them. Self nocks, no shelf and a simple leather handle.

The second is osage that hits 55#@28. Horn tip overlays, horn shelft and leather handle wrapped in artificial sinew. The area that looks like a hinge in the braced picture is a bit mis-leading. The stave had section that had a pretty good natural reflex until just past midlimb then went straight the rest of the way out. It seems mostly ok at draw but like I said, having seen it in the pics, seems to working mostly on the outer third of both limbs on both bows.
