IS ANY BODY SHOOTING SHOOTING THIS SET UP OFF THE SHELF?  HOW MANY OF YOU GUY'S SHOOTING 4 FLETCH ON ANY THING ?

Jim/LI

I have some fluflus with 4 fletches.  They will shoot off a shelf or raised rest.

Golden Hawk

I'm shooting 4-4" shields on all my carbons using a 75-105 pattern. Works great!

I've got a few axis that I 4 fletched w/ 4", kind tight fit, seem to hit just a tad low at around 40 yds and more, but that's the only difference I've noticed.

I shoot 4 fletch with my Beman calssic MFX's which are same diameter as the axis. I use the 75-105 pattern and I shoot off the shelf with no problems. You cant get much helical with the skinny carbons but doesnt seem to bother my arrows.

Snakewood, your groups are too tight.  You must be doing someting wrong!  :D

6 POINT

I use four fletch on Axis, conduit and woodies. Its a little tight on the axis but they work fine. I use four inch and put them on with Bohning tape.

I too use four fletch on both the Axis and Beman skinny shafts.  Mine are the 5 1/2 inch bananna high backs and I've found that the Bohning Fletching tape in conjunction with a Jo-Jan jig works best.  My rig sets the feather at 90 degree and the fletch tape makes installation quite fast. The use of Fletch tape is so fast that it has made a six station Jo-Jan jig obsolete.  The one station jig would work fine since the adhesion from the fletch tape is immediate and there is no cause to allow fletching cement to dry. I use right wing feathers, set the jig with a right helical twist and I get great spin stability.  Arrow starts to spin almost immediately upon release from the string.

Personally I like the fact that when hunting  I don't have to search for a cock feather, either side of the nock works on a four feather arrow.  Right wing feathers w/ right helix twist produce the proper rotation to compliment my Grizzly Grande broadheads.
