Talked to Pappy this morning, The Tenn. Classic will be May 1,2,3,4. Of course lots of folks start coming the Friday before.
I hope I-40 above Asheville will be back open by then. Another portion of it, since the slide during Hurricane Helene, slid into the Pigeon River a few weeks ago. May have to find another way around that but hopefully the repairs will be done by then.  :dunno:

I bet ETAR is a blast

Etar is huge and if trad archery is your thing etar is like a right of passage that you need to experience at least once,,, im pretty fond of the smaller type shoots myself,  i meet and shoot with more of the locals its really cool getting to know folks from all over the country,,,,of course that look i get when they first hear my boston accent but it always turns to be a fun time.

I know the Tenn Classic would be a long haul for you but if you ever go you'll wonder why you never went before.

Discussions like this are about the only time I wish I lived somewhere other than Wyoming.  Not a lot of trad shoots around here.

When i used to have more vacation time i went to alot of shoots renting a small
Car with unlimited mileage,, let me tell ya the road trip
Is part of the fun... i remember being in a civic with 3 other guys and day trip bags, tents, sleeping bags and bows we stopped at every pawn shop
We were going by and when we made it back to massachusetts that car was ready to burst!!!! But what a fun time we had!!!

I'm think'n pretty hard about trying to make the TN classic this year. I would love to go to etar, but that's about a 10 hour drive for me. Cloverdale is pretty close, and Compton isn't to bad either. Hopefully I'll meet some of ya!
