Im thinking about ordering a basic graybark pch,, i draw 27" im thinking it should be fine but have any of you pulled the 54" bow??? Is it smooth with no pinch or would you go with the 56" instead.

Black widow got back and recommended the 56" limbs minimum.  Im still curious though 😀

According to the BW catalog, the PCH with 54" limbs is recommended for draw lengths between 23 - 26".  With a 27" draw length you're right in the middle of the range for the 56" limbs.  I've always found BW's recommended limb lengths to be reliable in the past, and recommend you go with the 56" limbs.

Okay sounds good i cant seem to find the right bow used, i hate to buy a new widow and leave it in the truck strung up all season which is fine in the fall and winter but its the only thing  can buy immediately and not wait a year +   I will get the 56"

Black Widows turn around time is pretty quick compared to a lot of other custom bowyers. I don't know what it is right now....would suggest you call them to check, but I doubt it's more than a few months.

I'm shooting the 58" pch with a 28.5" draw. Love it. It's my whitetail in treestand/ turkey in ground blind bow. 56" @ 27" draw shoot be right on. Best of luck

Thanks,, I ordered a osage 56" with my oldness i guess my draw shortened a 1/2".... i had many widows and as far as taking a physical beating no other bow compares i actually poked around hot coals with one and threw it out of a tree stand onto its limb tip so hard it un strung did three flips and landed sideways on a stone wall which gave it a ding but the bow was still perfect,  we also layed it on the street strung and drove over it a couple times bow was still
Straight,,   Those were my younger bow hustling days and that was a ken beck MA2 but that old video they made on how tough the bow limbs are should show everything...   this bow will hang behind my seat fully strung with arrows for late hunts after work,, other bows wont fit across the cab and are in view, where i work its lawless now and all junkies robbing everyone.

I have a 54-inch PCH. I draw to 28, and it feels and shoots good for me.

My main bow is a 54"KB and I draw a fuzz over 27-1/2" 53lbs. I wanted a take down for Remote trips. PCH is what I got and had to make the same decision you're going through. I shot them both well, but I ultimately decided on the 56" as I ordered some 58lb and 53lb limbs. I'm happy with my decision. Ultimately it's a decision of priorities. If the shortest possible is worth a slight compromise in comfort, 54" is it but 56" is right in the wheelhouse... KB vs PCH are slightly different dynamics which is why I went with 54". Love them both :campfire:
