WOW what a great day indeed in Grayling with new and old friends. Talking about Archery, bowhunting, and the works. Got to see many old friends like Gene Hopkins, Johnnyrazorhead , Pete the Greek, John Heart. The Statue Unveiling was an amazing once in a lifetime opportunity. That my lovely wife and I and everyone in attendance will remember. I didn't take to many pictures as I was too busy talking lol. I'm sure as time goes on more great photos and videos will be showing up.

I'd also like to Thank Pete for letting me be part of a 24 shot glass salute to Fred. If I remember correctly Pete called it a " Have a drink with Fred" we got to keep the shot glass with the bear archery Grayling logo on them

Ted Nugent was the special guest who sang his famous song Fred Bear, to hear it in person sent chills down my back

Everyone on the Fred Bear Day council deserves a big round of applause 🏹

Very cool. I'll be down that way in a few weeks. Might have to swing by and check it out.

Thanks for the pics and re-cap Cody.  I was amazed at the amount of people at this event.  I never expected it.  Great tribute.

I loved Fred Bear. I bought a 1970's vintage Bear camo outfit like I use to use back in High School and college. Going to wear it this fall.

Hey Cody, thanks for sharing.  Mr. Bear deserves it for doing so much for Grayling, but also the traditional archery community.

Just out of curiosity, where will the statue be displayed?  Will it be on the grounds of the old Bear factory?
