All the D bows I have shot had hand shock, 2 northern mist ASL's and I have tried a Bear Ausable and a Montana, same. No, I haven't shot many, but all I have shot had it bad enough to sell and or not buy. I am definitely not bashing D bows, I just don't do hand shock well. I do love the locator grips! The RD's just shot more better,😁, to ME.

Had a Montana and a High Country Hill Style bow.  Didn't notice a terrible amount of hand shock, but the D/R bows I shoot now are filling the "need for speed".  Big River and MOAB have really have me spoiled.

I dunno about the High Country Hill but the Bear Montana is a mild r/d longbow.

My mistake; I had a Martin ML-14.

I once had a Herter's Itasca 70" longbow, back in the '60s, straight limbed and 57@29 - hand shock that would rattle the fillings outta yer teeth and send shock waves down yer spine.  :scared:

As I recall that Martin was 60#@28", wonder if my brother still has it.  That was one "D" shape I did not like.
