I went on a hunting trip to Argentina with a few buddies, and was lucky enough to get a nice stag. It was a bit of a rodeo! He was broadside when I shot. He wheeled away at the shot and the hit was too far back. Luckily, that put him at a hard quartering away angle. It still didn't get up far enough to put him down fast. :banghead: He went a looooong ways and we had to leave him overnight after jumping him once. The next morning, we spent hours looking to no avail. As we were about to give up, one of the guides had a hunch, and it paid off!!! He had turned where we lost the trail, and was dead when we found him. I hate it when things don't go right, but was sure glad to be able to put my hands on him!!!!

That's a beautiful animal!  Great job.  Working that hard on the recovery will only further sweeten the prize.

Best regards, Chase
