Dave "hunt it" Stinson showed off one of Karl's T/D Bowie knives at the TX Sweat then proceeded to put to use on a couple of hogs.  Maybe we could get Dave to post some pictures of that amazing knife...Doc

Karl makes a lot of his knives in a "take down" configuration. You can clean it like a rifle. That is a very attractive feature to me.

He stopped by my place here in Illinois on the way down. The knife was sent to Kenny Rowe in Arkansas for a custom sheath that I haven't seen yet! He said he got it bloody and it performed well.
I couldn't be more pleased.
It was W2 steel, clay heat treated to creat a hamon, stinless steel fittings with an African Blackwood Handle. Built in a Take-down assembly.
That knife also won "Best Forged Blade" at the Ohio Classic Knife Show this last Fall.
(Jeezee Peats! Am I blowin' my own horn here?!!?)

Karl,  That was the slickest knife I've ever seen!  One screw and every part is lying on the table.  Karl even makes the screw driver to disassemble it!  

I'll email Dave and make sure he gets over here.  If you read the TX Sweat posts, Dave talks about the night hunt with dogs and chasing around the mesquite desert on 4 wheelers

I think that's about an 8-9 inch blade. We need to have David measure it!

Been away for March Break and missed this one. Thanks for posting pics Karl. It was a great pleasure to meet you and get the tour of your shop and see some of your other works of art! The knife performed as expected! Just the ticket for the job. Kenny sheath looks awesome but does not work on a belt no matter which way you wear it. I have not had time to call him but I intend to take some pics and send them to him. It seems that even though he had the knife the sheath is backwards from any direction. If you wear it where expected the knife handle is upside down. Karl your sheath is excellent and performed as well as the knife. How is my sambar knife coming along?

I'm so tied up in the Blade Show inventory right now I haven't had time to focus on your new one. That piece of Sambar is so spectacular, it really deserves a special knife designed specifically for it.
I'll never be able to replace that piece.
You'll have something this Summer!

Just bought the "Brokeback Chairman" Andersen Forge knife!  Can't wait to get my grubby hands on it! (I will wash em before I touch it) My wife got it for me, for our 20th wedding anniversary!  Good woman/wife!
