These don't belong on a Master Leather Craftsman post as my sheaths are quite simple cross draw sheaths.  For that matter my knives are quite simple too.  Usually when I give a knife away, I have the new owner get a fancy sheath from someone else to dress it up  ;)  Doc

Here are the last two I built.  One was for the St. Jude's Auction last year and the other was for Frank.

I will take a few pics of the one Sylvie made me later tonight and post them.

here's a couple I OWN...I didn't make them of course.

The first is a Shell sheath...nothing needs to be said about it...it tells you all you need to know about her skills

The second is by Herb Derr a master knifesmith who believes makers should also build their own sheaths.

It is to hook thru the belt on either side of your center beltloop.  It was made to be worn on the back with the straps going over the shoulders and hooking to the front beltloop.  Kind of a Crocodile Dundee sheath. LOL!!!  It was a challenge, and took a LOT of leather.  That is a heck of a Randal Bowie inside that sheath.  More of a broadsword really.  LOL!!!

Ray,

Those knives and sheaths are gorgeous!!!!!!

Now we are getting somewhere! Thanks for posting those guys.

Brian, not sure what you meant by $.50....but if you were serious, I'll take all the sheaths you can make at that price! That shoulder harness is incredible. I spend a lot of time around saddles and tack...and you sir have got the skills.

Skull, neat lines to those sheaths...like the sharp sweeping points...very unique.
