Thanks again guys! I am having a little stew tonight and we made some jerky last night.
I'll say this much. I enjoy every kill alot more than I ever did when I hunted with a compound.
I must add this as well. That deer went to school with me the morning I found her. My students all wanted to take a trip to my car to see it.
Those poor inner city kids have been deprived!

I killed one myself the last weekend (Jan.5)of the season here in Texas. Of course it was 67 degrees at the time. Little different than what you experienced. Can't say enough about taking whitertails with traditional equipment. Congratulations to you and good luck in years ahead.

Congratulations, Shane, you did good. Those late season hunts are tough.

I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

Good work Shane. You will have to give me a call when you come back into town. Maybe I can show you some of the stuff I have been working on. Steve

Congrats Shane, I hope I can do the same this weekend.

Nice Job Shane, the best part of hunting in miserable conditions is you have th eentire woods to yourself!

Nice deer!
