New to Traditional,
Wrong  :)  Those are wood shafts made by Ted Fry.  Yellow crown/feathers & black stained shaft. Stone point by Woody (knife river) Blackwell.  Bow my yours truly.

I thought last years hunt was the best ever when I was lucky enough to take the biggest bear in camp with the LDB bow...course there wasn't a tippit knife at stake then ( but I know the maker  ;)  ).

But this even tops that accomplishment for me.  Just remember...It all happens again next year except there will be 2 hunts.  See ya'll at the 2nd Annual...Doc

Doc, Tom, JC, Ray that was special.  It will be hard to top that.  Doc, Irish and I have a good start on a couple self bows from MOJAM.   Maybe next year.

tippit

kctreeman,  Maybe we can get Ted Fry to come back again next year so we can all make yeller shavings & bear stew.  Plus you heard in that video, I expect Woody to be teachin' us how to wack stones  :notworthy:  Doc

Thanks guys! That was absolutely awesome!! It almost seems like I lived through a hunting season in the middle of summer.

This is, without a doubt, the best thread I have ever read, bar none!

Thanks!!!

Hand made bows, wooden arrows, stone points and iron men.Doctari you and Tom have me so inspired.I'am thinking I should get out the old 70 inch 55@28 one piece rawhide backed yew wood long bow my son built for me.He got the yew from StCharles when he worked there.Glenn and Jay helped him build the bow and it's a fine shooter.I have never hunted with it as I always felt she was just to fine to use as a walking stick. But the lights are on now and I'am home.Special bows, special friends.Makes for vary special times together.bd

Bowdoc,
You need to bring the 70" St.Charles Yew bow to BEAR QUEST II. What a sight it will be seeing a bowhunter that stands 4' nothing holding a 70" longbow :-)
