Prince of Poof sounds better.PP for short.  "[tunglaff]"

Feeling a little more like my old self today, so I put in sometime on this bugger.Really starting to come around. Few more tweks and I think I'll have it.

Here it is again turned around.

It's looking better all the time.  :scared:  There are some places in this world that you don't want to be known as the "Prince of Poof"  :scared:

(unless you've got your own TV show and not about bow building)

Thanks John,The right limb in the bottom pic is really being a devil but I think I see a couple spots I can touch up.1st one being just before the 2 on the graph and the 2nd at the 3.Whatchew think?

Linc

Looking at the right limb in the bottom pic again this morning, being a little more awake.I think I just need to do a little scraping at #3 and it will come around.

I also for got to mention that without a backing, this little 56" NTN beauty is drawing to 30" with no ill effects.

I hope to get back at it after work today.

NEW GUY

Lookin good Linc.  Just a little stiff on that one limb.  Lemme ask a stupid question.  It appears that your tips are bending to approx. the same distance.  Now if you weaken that one limb on the right in the bottom pic, will that mess up this or no.

Shane, It shouldn't unless you remove too much.

There comes a time in everyones life where you say Enough is Enough.I've come to that time.Did a little more tweeking after work and I think this is the best I'm going to try for.

Braced

Drawn to 28"

Flipped around.

I forgot to mention.I removed the patch as it was a hinderance to the final tillering.

LeeNY

Looks really good, I didn't even notice the patch was gone. That lady is getting a real special bow.  :bigsmyl:  Poofy stuff and all!

Glasspoint

Linc, missed this thread the first time 'round, glad it came back up.

Now---Sahweet!!!!  :saywhat:
The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese...

DCM

Linc, is this bow pictured 56" NTN?  What weight?

Tiller looks fine.  Nice save.  It ain't over till YOU says it's over.  Congradulations.

Timo

(Enny o yuns know ware thu heart o a stumpytail izz??)

Linc

Thanks for the kind words yo'all.

The stats are. 56"NTN 15#@28".Yes,I know it is a light weight.I'm well prepared to shorten it to gain back poundage but I don't think it will be necessary. This bow is really overbuilt!I've actually draw this beaut to 31".Just wanted to make sure that nothing would let go on her when she shoots it. I'm really becoming a wuss! It really felt comfortable to shoot this baby.

Profile of the owner: This Lady is a multiple time cancer Survivor!!! Both breasts have been removed and lung cancer (she's never smoked!) She always has a smile on her face and enjoys life. She is going through tuff times of late as her husband just had bladder surgery for cancer.
Her main concern was draw weight. When she had surgery for her lung cancer, they went through her back on her right side.We have as yet not been able to set up a day and time for us to get together for her to try it out.I think her draw will be around 24-26".Consequently the draw will be lighter accordingly.

Linc

Thanks Curt.

I've got an apology and a thank you to make. I made a false statement as to the length. It is 68" NTN and a Thank you to DCM for questioning the length. The 56"NTN that I quoted is from another bow that I'm working on.For some reason that number stuck in my head and transferred itself to this bow.I am very sorry for the mistake, please forgive me as I wasn't trying to misrepresent the actual vitals.  :(    :o    :knothead:    :knothead:    :knothead:

DCM

No big deal Linc.  56" seemed short for that bow.

LeeNY

Yes I went to the POOFYMIESTER BOW MAKING ACADEMY!!!!!!!!  :readit:  There's my Diploma!  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:

The bow I made there is still alive and shoots great.

Linc

I think it was more the fact that you got the osage from Sci-Fries than my teachings.  :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :notworthy:
