Lex, I'd try to find a cut bank or a burm or something and set a pop up blind behind it so that the shooting window is about a foot off the ground level, get that sucker as dark as you can, I mean block off all the shooting holes except one about 10 inches wide and maybe 18-24 inches high.  Set your 3-d target 20 yards out and get ready to donate a few arrows to the "where the heck did THAT one go" gods.  After a few shots your brain will start to make it's own adjustment.  As for the price, we paid individual trophy fees on the animal but got a really nice deal on the daily fees, airline credits and what not.

Definitely on the bucket list. Great write up and good job shooting. I think traditional gear is 90% mental...and that makes it tough to get over a missed shot. Good work on those nice animals.
Show me your ways, LORD,teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me,for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

Thank you for the great story and pictures. What was your bow poundage?

My Damascus is marked 58# @ 28 but I only pull about 26.  The real weight measured on my scale was 51#.  The arrow was the deal sealer, I believe.  It was a Easton Axis 500, with 100 grain brass insert, 250 grain broadhead with a total weight of 650 grains and an FOC of 27% (give or take a percent)and 4, 3" fletch with a cut down cap wrap.
