The pattern in the wood absolutely screams laminated wood such as is presently used in the Florida bows.

I have not evolved enough in my collecting (and finances) to be a collector of takedowns so I am no expert.  A real expert will be along in a little while.

I would like to have a Bear takedown irregardless of where it was manufactured.  I have actually pondered momentarily about seeking out and purchasing one but a Rocky Mountain Recurve takedown showed up a few months ago that I still need to find the time to tune.

It's a Brown stripe which some would still say Green stripe riser. I would say late 80s to early 90's.. I had riser number 6802

Dang was hoping he was right and it was a grayling not the end of the world a very nice riser.

A Gainsville bow from that time frame was my thinking too.

Pictured below is a riser which looks like a green stripe bow AND with a serial later than your bow.

Could this be a brown stripe?
