I still have my very first bow which I bought from a buddy back in 1980-81.
It is a Bear take-down.  The riser is magnesium(?) and the limbs are thick fiberglass.  The bow has been camo painted, but if my memory serves the handle was green.  I beleive it was either called The Patriot or The Minute Man.  Anybody know anything about this?
Thank you.

They were a cheaper model, still I understand they shoot pretty good. They show up in my catalog in 1974. The riser is magnesium.

The Minuteman was made in 60 & 66in models if  recall correctly

If the limbs are solid fiberglass (no wood core), it may be a Bear '76er.  I believe the Minuteman used the same or a similar riser, but the Minuteman's limbs had wood cores with fiberglass on back and belly.

I've got a '76er-- it's a 58" bow that draws 40#@28".  Has a green riser and brown fiberglass limbs.  It actually shoots pretty nice-- would make a great bowfishing rig.
