Oh yeah she's a shooter for anyone thats got the balls to shoot it.I don't think the new owner ever shot it,but it for sure had been shot quite a bit.The strike plate and arrow rest had a good amount of wear..I had a 94# static tip Kodiak at one time and my red meat eating buddy Jason shot that one several times....were talk smoken fast on the old static tip.......bowdoc

Speaking of all these heavy weight bows,I've got a 1959 Kodiak that is marked 123#,the heaviest I have seen so far.It's a lefty also which I notice alot of these heavyweights are.I've also got a 90# 1960 Kodiak,left-hand and a 1960 Kodiak Deluxe that is 100# but it is a right-hander.Makes you wonder who all these heavy weight lefties were.

If memory serves me right, which it probably doesn't, I believe there was an article in one of the magazines of the time, where Howard strung a 100# bow while setting down, on his 60th birthday.

Any pics available of you shooting those monsters? How do you solve the shaft/spine problems you obviously must have?

I actually got my 95# Damon Howatt Hunter strung. It was a battle.

I could not get it to full draw, but I figure that at half draw I would be shooting 45#

what really makes it rare is the riser design Bear used in the higher poundage bows. Most collectors call them "wedge site windows", and they were generally over 75# draw weight...

I am sorry Marlon, but I just do not believe you have an ACSCX at 150#. O.L. Would not make them much above 60#. He made me a 72#er and said it about killed him to string it said he would never make another that heavy. Not calling you a liar or nothing but just do not believe it from what I know of O.L.

dispensa me! I am amazed. I notice O.L. states the "we are guessing the bow to be 140#+@28". You sir are a man if you can pull and shoot that weight accurately. Congratulations on the record.
