Just finished this one up the other day. Bamboo backed edge grain bloodwood, with osage and zebrawood accents and osage and horn overlays. The grain ran out at a pretty nasty angle on one limb so I used that as an excuse to add some osage underlays to the last 11" of the limbs for protection. I had heard once or twice that bloodwood can be somewhat temperamental so I shot for a lower draw weight then usual. 45# at 27", 65" ntn. Did the same dye job that I did to the bbo I just finished, except this one fades to red in the centers of the limbs.

VERY Nice.

LOve the handle section and the belly tip overlays!!!

Never quite understood how the belly tip overlay deals work.  Are you taking things down thinner to accomadate them?

Shaun

Nice again Danny. Tiller looks sweet in the braced pic. Keep up the good work. It will be good to see you again at Bradjam and MOJam.

Thanks guys!

It shoots great! Fast!

Ya, the way I do it is to tiller the bow to 22" and the belt sand at an angle (so it will feather out) the last 12" of the limbs and glue on a new piece. Then just shape it to replace the wood you took off. By the time you tiller it the rest of the way you end up with an 11" underlay, which I think is the perfect length.

Me too Shaun! MOJAM should be fun this year!
