It's for hunting brutes.  :)

The blade is 4-1/2 inches and the steel is 80crv2 steel and the stag was dyed for me by Culpepper's.

I think this one turned out especially nice.

You're right Lin. That's is exceptional.

That's my favorite full tang I've seen of yours. Not that any of the others weren't awesome.

An absolute perfect knife in my oppinion. What a beauty.

WOW!

Outstanding Lin. You know I really like the rat tail brutes you do. The longer, leaner profile with the stag makes this one my favorite of them to date. Thanks for sharing.

Outstanding work.  I love the rat tail design and the stag is awesome.  One thing that I'm still not a huge fan of on most brute knives is the excess space between the scales and the plunge line, but that's just a part of that design that can't be avoided I guess.  I believe you actually addressed that very issue on one a while back with a sort of seashell shaped piece there, I think made from brass or copper.  I guess you'd call it a bolster for lack of a better word.  In my opinion, that one was the brute style perfected.  But I wouldn't mind carrying this one around either.   ;)

Thanks guys.   :campfire:

Matt, That is something that I am working on because I would like to squeeze the whole thing a bit tighter together. Notice the scales on this one are rounded a bit in front to avoid the abrupt square shape. We will see what develops.
