need help to id this

don.t know if this is trad. bow hunting or not BUT i was bow hunting when i found it, don't know what it is do you?? i have sent a pic. to the cpo who is a friend of mine wating for a reply from him.
any one know???/

I have caught a few of them in my traps. I called them weasels sometimes the tail would be longer and sometimes they would be brown in fall and white in the winter.

Weasel, white ermine same thing. Weasel's get a white winter coat.

That's the one species of weasel I haven't seen. It's a least weasel, about half the size of shorttail and longtail weasels. The way to ID it is by small body size (only 5 1/2 to 6 1/2"), short tail, no black tip on the tail. Great little hunters! Always a pleasure to see those guys in the woods.

That is my pet ferret Larry, is he ok? I can't believe you found him, he was traveling with the circus, he does some amazing tricks, and he can order a beer and shoots a mean game of pool. Wow I am so happy someone nice has him. He eats mostly gerbil food but likes pinky mice too. PM me and I will give you the address to send him home.

Knife River says it's nice to see them outdoors. Let me tell you it's VERY INTERESTING to see one in your bedroom! That white against our dark green carpet was BEAUTIFUL. The little bugger wasn't afraid of anything, just roamed around until he finally found the door we had opened for him and just stolled casually out. Don't know what hole he found to get in, but at least he's not been back. BTW, they are much prettier alive.

least weasel. Knife river is right. I found one here in Iowa several years back. Freaked me out! Never seen one in the wild all my life. It had a brown back white belly. Took it to the DNR and they told me what it was. Also researched it to make sure the DNR wasn't pulling my chain. They were right.... I have it mounted on a Russian Boar skull in my den.

thanks guys, the size is what got me, i have seen weasels before but not this snall, he sure has a set of teeth on him.
would ask what to do with it, BUT probly wouldn,t like what some of you would say.
