Help!  I am planning my first hunt in the Dark Continent.  I am a sickbow shooter and will be taking my wife and daughter(both non-hunters) along.  I am trying to decide between Kuduland and Melorami.  Any comments would be much appreciated.  Thanks.

Brian how about a week at each :)Lots of guys have hunted both places you should start to see some response soon. Have a great trip.

I have hunted at Greater Kuduland and I wouldn't hesitate to take a nonhunting female along. The accomodations and food are incredible and they have lots of nonhunting activities as well. You would not regret taking them there!

As you may know, I go to Greater Kuduland almost every year.  This coming July/August will be my 13th trip there.  My first was in 1978, when they had no idea what a bowhunter was.

I have never seen or heard of any place that has more species and more true, trophy class animals.  It's because the Knott family has owned the ranch for years and years and manage it for QUALITY!  It is huge property with almost any kind of terrain imaginable.

Rick is correct, too, in that the accomodations are top drawer and they really cater to non hunting "observers".  Side trips to Kruger, visiting cave paintings, exploring old ruins, shopping for curios, etc.  Both of their lodges have pools and gardens, game viewing areas, and food as good as some fancy European hotel.

Heck, in all likelyhood you can even get to hunt with the "World's Shortest Bowhunter".  As a matter of fact, we still have openings in July and August this year.  I'm NOT a paid booking agent, either, so have nothing to gain by advising you as I have.

I am using Uhuru Safaris in Thabazimbi in September. When are you planning to go? I can advise in mid-September.

Cant go wrong with either, personal choice. Have hunted  Melorani and everything is top notch you will not be disappointed.
Whichever way you go start planning your second trip because you cant go just once!

Trust me!

Captain hindsight to the rescue!

I've not hunted Greater Kuduland but just got back from Melorani.  I'm going back in 2009 and taking my wife this time just so she and Bronwyn can pal around together.  I loved it!

I hunted GKLS in '95 with Paul.  It is a wonderfully charming set up and the non hunters will enjoy it if there are things set up to do during the daytime for them.
