My father, Michael James Mohr, passed away at home Wednesday evening. It was very unexpected and fast, presumably a massive heart attack.
He was my best friend and hero, a selfless man who was always helping someone, and life will never be the same without him.

This is a picture of him with my mother.

I made a longbow which I was so excited to give him for Christmas, which now will be devoted to his memory.

He taught me so much and cared so much for everyone who met him, he will be missed by so many, but never gone from our hearts.

We will never forget you, we love you Dad.

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

You can lead a human to knowledge, but you can't make him think!

So sorry for your loss.  Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.  Cherish his memory and all of the memories you shared.  Shoot that bow!!!!  The next arrow I shoot will be in his honor.

May God's peace that passes all understanding, keep you and your family in His loving arms thru this tough time.

Yours is a eulogy that any man would be proud to have offered in his behalf.  It sounds like your Dad was one to remember.  It sounds like he dedicated his life to bringing happiness to others, so I doubt he would want you to wallow in grief endlessly.

Take time to mourn. It is a process... not an event, but it is something we all go thru with our parents and friends and one day, we too, will leave this realm.

The critical word is THRU.  You WILL get thru this.  Don't hang up at one of the stages of grief...it doesn't sound like your Dad would have wanted that.

Peace! Keep the Son in your eyes!
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

Loss of someone you loved and revered (as I did my father, too) is like losing an anchor in your life. Work through the grief, involving folks around you, and let your faith guide you back on course. Praying for peace and strength.

I can relate, my father left this world in the same manner. Prayers sent for peace and comfort for you and yours. He will always be with you in your heart.
