Suffice it to say that one of our own will be undergoing much needed joint surgery this Oct 23rd.

My prayers are for the Lord to smile on our faithful friend, limit his pain from here till surgery, and to guide the hands of his surgeons that he may come thru this ordeal and be restored to full mobility and be pain free.

Lord, in your mercy...

But his bow will remain steady, and his hands will be skillful; because of the hands of the Mighty One of Jacob, because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,  (Genesis 49:24 [NETfree])

He'll post up for others, but being shy so I won't spill the beans... but strugglin with arthritis myself, I can only IMAGINE what pain he's in having let joint surgery go hoping to get thru hunting season, only to be laid up so badly, he can't...

23rd is looming...

Redoubling prayers for an improved transition into surgery and a blessed experience during surgery and after in rehab!

Brothers,
I sincerely appreciate the request and the prayers, but Doc is being kind.  I'm not shy, it's just that my current problems are the result of my own stubborness and getting my priorities backward.  The orthopedic surgeon told me almost a year ago that my right hip and left knee needing replacing. I started getting cortisone injections and postponing surgery. By July I still thought I could make it until after bow season....wrong choice!  I've been truly blessed by God and putting things in perspective, this is minor compared to the heart-breaking issues being dealt with by many folks on this site daily.

Well, brother Richard, stubborn and shy can be two sides of the same coin!

You didn't ask for rotted knee/hip, you just opted to try to milk it a bit longer...cause doc's like to do what docs do cause they can...

I'm doing the same thing... it's a coin flip. Sometimes ya wins, sometimes ya loozes.

Prayers are still in order! Pain is pain and when it makes you want to hurl, it's deserving of prayer from the rest of us!

Shoot...I ask for prayers on a house closing for crying out loud...now for clear weather (DRY) to load and unload the truck.

Nothing is too small or too insignificant for our Father's attention... and this group of warriors has lifted up the smallest and biggest to the bestest, Our Father, God!

Keep the Son in your eyes, Richard!
