1967 kodiak hunter ..how they perform ?

I had a '67 that was a great shooter. The only thing I didn't like was the high wrist grip.

I had a 73 as a teen. I haven't picked up another as these days the wrist is a little high for my tastes. I let it slide on the SuperMag as I can use it in a blind for turkey's.

Interesting that you asked about this particular model ... I just got done making several mods to one that I picked up from a friend.
I lowered the shelf by 3/4" and put a modern radius on it to help ensure a clean release. I also re-shaped the riser to eliminate the blocky appearance that the Hunter has. As Sean B has previously noted above, he didnt like the high wrist grip and this mod changes that completely.
I also narrowed the limb tips by 1/4" and picked up 8 fps by taking away that un-necessary limb mass. This reshaping did not reduce draw weight and it dampened the vibration upon release significantly.
It was a fun little project and now it really is a great shooter.

I have a '68 Hunter that I've had about five years and have shot thousands of arrow through her.   One of my favorite bows.  Not blazing speed but shoots well, dependable, doesn't stack with my 29 1/2" draw and is one of my "go to" hunting bows.

I would expect the '67 to preform about the same.

I used one last year that my uncle passed on to me. Definitely not the fastest or quietest bow out there, but it performed just fine.

I have a 68 also. Had it since 68 and killed many deer with it. Shot a bear with it just last week.

I have a 67' it's a great bow, shoots well, with wool puffs almost silent. I'm just not a fan of the high wrist grip.

I Shot Sean's Bow for some time and it was a great shooter.  Same here, I prefer low wrist grip bows!
