Wade,
I understand what you are saying completely. Have had a few Grumley's that I didn't feel confident in stringing up for one reason or the other. Some times I have to just let a bow be; no matter how great the tempt. The one bow that was very hard to look at and not string was Fred's. I managed to not let my desires get the best of me.

I may have found what I am looking for on self nock arrows. I can't manage to get pictures on photobucket to work as they are showing up as user removed. I am pasting a link which can be copied but you would have to fill in the stars with the big site name in browser to come up.

Shane -

The heads in the auction look like 1939 sloped shoulder blades with the 1942 ferrule.

Did not show the heads in the auction in the 3rd Edition, but have had several of them for many years.

Zwickey made lots of combinations of parts over the years. When you understand the Zwickey manufacturing process, used for the last three quarters of a century, it becomes obvious why so many combinations of blades and ferrules are in existence.

The narrow blade and the convex cutting edge are noticeably different that 1942 Bear Special Order Zwickey with its much wider blade and distinctly sloped shoulders.

I can't tell if one of the other heads is a 1947 Bodkin or a 50's Make all tool. And here I am not a broadhead collector finding everything under the sun but what I am looking for. Ok, that may be a little far fetched, but I am finding some odd stuff in my search.
