Take several cubed deer steaks and put some seasoned salt on them.  Take the cubed steaks and brown them in a skillet.   Do not cook them, just brown them.

In a crock-pot put a couple cans of cream of chicken soup,  one can of french onion soup and some fresh button mushrooms.    Then place the browned cubed deer steaks in with the soup mixture.

Turn the crock pot/slowcooker on low and let it cook for about 6 hours. (Give or take)

The onion soup adds a great flavor to the dish.  You will surely enjoy it.

You can also put the mixture and meat in a large cast iron pot and place it over the camp fire.

hope you like this easy made venison dish.

SCATTERSHOT

Did much the same thing yesterday with a neck roast (Texas whitetail). Used dry onion soup mix and about a cup of water in a crock pot. Came out tender and juicy, a surprise. I expected it to be tough.

I have a nice stainless steel slow cooker and don't use it. I will have to drag it out and try some of these recipes. They sound easy enough that even I could make a decent meal for a change.  :)
