Dick Palmer shoots with us in Greenland AR every-other Sunday. I spoke with him today and told him that his name was mentioned on a thread about longbow makers from the 60's. A big grin came across his face.
Long story-short: He talked about trying to set up a website because his magazine adds were not doing as much as they used to. He has just acquired his first computor and does not know how to go about setting all this up. I told him that he should consider becoming a Trad Gang sponsor and advertise with us. He was very interested.
I also told him that he could get all the information he would need to get set up from the nice folks on our site. Maybe some of you guys that have websites could hook him up with a reputable computor guru to help him out.
Dick Palmer would be a great one to have an interview with. I know that it would be a good read to hear from some one that was in our sport back in the late 50's and 60's.
He should be checking us out as soon as his computor is all set up. Please watch for him and help him out if you can.   :campfire:   Terry

Terry; That is great news! It has to be a pleas-
ure to shoot with Dick, and have him share stories
and information with you and your friends. I have
Dick's original book "Shooting the longbow" and I still read it, now and then. I hope he will
become a sponser here, and get a website up and running. An interview will be awesome,as he is a wealth on information on Hunting, longbows, and
staying healthy. Thank you for the information.

I have one of his bows.  Very good quality.  From what I hear HE is of very good quality as well.  I would love to have him here posting as well.

That would make for some great reading and input!

How do I get in touch with him?  I have done a website or two, and might be able to help him out.

Dick sold me my first bow last year (Factory not his) and has made me two sets of arrow.I was wondering if he ever made it to this site and what his handle is? I called him the other day and he said he doesnt have time to make bows anymore but one set of arrows I have from him are two pretty to shoot.

He has not joined us yet to the best of my knowledge. I'll bring it up to him at our next shoot. Don't think he likes computers very well..Terry
