Magnus broadheads.

In 2003 when I first got started in the bowhinting world I shot a wheelie and magnus 2 blade 100 grain 1'1/8 th heads. Easy to sharpen and very accurate. I never had the opportunity to employ them on game but that is not there fault.
Switched to expandable for years. Mixed results but it all looked like on TV and the hype had me.
Lost interest in the wheel bows and fell back in love with the recurve I shot when I was a kid.
Well back to magnus but those old heads are not around anymore. Stinger buzzcut 125 in front of 100 grains of brass seemed right.
Tested on two whitetail this year. One buck and one doe. Both shots were right around 18-19 yards and neither one reacted to the shot much at all. I was stunned. Years of deer running like there tails are on fire at the shot over. Just twang,thump,hop  skip,jump, ass wiggle and fall. Can not go back ever. Hooked for life and if you need a solid cut on contact that is easy to sharpen magnus has your answer.

I've slayed a many a critter with Magnus Stingers! It's what's on the end of my arrows in my quiver

killed a man with 4 blade magnus stingers however here they are a one and done head and i dont like that. I shoot VPA 3 blade now for that reason i like to be able to have a reusable head thats easy to resharpen and holds a good edge.

Same here! Almost no reaction! I use the regular, buzzcut and this year killer bee.

I would not call them a one and done head. I have shot all of mine and resharpened them all to mirror polished razors. Minimal effort and decent set of stones has done very well by me

I take my blade out and run them through a good knife sharpener.

Bucky , I'd be interested to know more about what type sharpener you are using. I've been using stingers for couple years but unfortunately haven't had any shots while hunting yet. I can get them sharp enough to cut hair but not really shaving sharp , just wish I could get them sharper.

I have used Magnus II broadheads and never had one fail me.  Still have a bunch.  At the time I got hooked on Rib-Tek (125 & 125S) because they looked like the old Pearson Skeletal and sharpened up fiercely with a single mill cut bastard file.  Then I found STOS - one of the best two-edged IMHO.  Now I am using three-edge Mowoc Dots made in 1960 that Larry Whiffen Jr. found in cases in his garage.  Just because the bow I am using is of the same era. 

If I shoot a bow under 48# at deer I still use a two-edge.  Just a policy of mine.
