I've been messing with stabilizing wood now elk antler i made the scale close to fit then went through the steps to stabilize them and on the last step of curing they warped. ive reheated and clamped them to the tang . that didnt work so maybe i should've done the antler before making them into scales?

With antlers I have had good success using wood hardener. Doesn't change the shape and just light sanding gets them ready to epoxy.
