Wanting to get a quality cast iron pot and lid.  What newer or older antique brand should I be looking for.

Might wanna try some flea markets, goodwill, or yard sales.

Sometimes they have old cast iron articles.

Griswold and Wagner are oldie but goodies.

Practical answer is new Lodge. Sand it out smooth. Old stuff and some newer boutique makes come smooth already.

Deep fry taters or something else not breaded many times before using otherwise. Use only chain mail and oil or water to clean.

BS

Look for some older used ones, it's all about finish.

The old ones have a finer polished finish. [less stick]

Broken Arrows

Antique stores and yards sales are a great sores.
Take the long way around.
