Jay had 5 blockages and they did a three way bypass and two stints. Jay is recovering at Swedish Hospital in Seattle and is coming along well.

Jay is now home recovering, I was incorrect about the stints, he had three bypasses but the doctors were unable to do stints in the other two blockages. i do not know the extent of the blockages, more to come in the future. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Dang!  Thats not a good sign when they can't use stints.

Glad he's home recovering and may it be the Lord's will that he heal fast so they can do whatever else is needed

Everyone, thanks for all!
Yes, am three weeks on the good side of my surgery and doing great, feeling strong. Never had an attack, just the warning pain and so was able to avoid damage from such an event. Got to the operating table in time.
I have another month of my sternum knitting itself back together (they break it as part of the procedure) and then I be able to resume as before. Was a surprise to me as I'd been given a "clean bill" from an echo cardiogram/stress test just a few years back. My advice, get those chest pains checked out!
Thanks to all, Jay

excellent news, Jay...

At this point in life, I know of people who passed their stress test one day and a week later were GONE!  Glad to hear you're on the mend...

Diet, exercise and genetics can play a huge part in all the issues with our bodies, but paying attention and keeping stubborn for where it does some good, is tantamount!

Praise be to God and so glad you are on the mend Jay.

Glad to hear that you are healing up.  It is unfortunate that a good Echo does not always relate a healthy heart.  A better test is a calcium score done as a CT scan.  The CT scan shows plaque buildup in the arteries, which the EKG cannot fixate on.  Most folks do not get it because most insurances do not cover the cost, it is about $100.  A small price to pay for your life.  Continued prayers for your recovery.

Jay is still fighting the battle, he has a very serious infection in his leg where they took a vein for his heart surgery. He was back in the hospital last week.

Modern medicine is not the miracle we all hope it to be...

Bummer on the post surgical infection for sure...

Hope he can mount up sufficient defenses within to whup the infection and keep his ticker tickin...
