To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

Nice job on the birdy!  I've had an itch to try one of those 54" Dark Archers.  They just seem like they'd be a great bow, not to mention out of tent blinds.

After reading Steve's post, I just bought one from Bob Lee...their customer service was incredible!  I got it today after ordering on Monday!  54 AMO 54# @ 28...Ought to be a great shooter!  Thanks for the info Steve!

Boy o boy, I sure hope you like that Dark Archer.  I set it up with a 7 1/2" brace height and put 1/2 of a hush puppy at the 1/4 points of the string and it is nice and quiet.

Thanks for the info!  I can't wait to try it in Kansas in a couple weeks!  Tim Schoenborn is going to help me set up the brace height and nocking point this weekend.  I've had this turkey/monkey on my back for 5 years...this is my year!
