Tony,

Looks as though you have taught him well. You guys have some really terrific whitetails. A tremendous memory he will never forget and you had the opportunity to share it with him. Outstanding!! Congratulations to you both.

Hi, Dad asked me to tell about my Thanksgiving day deer hunt so here it goes.  Well first off we woke up at the crack of dawn like always and well i sort of had a feeling that i was going to see some deer that morning. We got out to the lease late and i saw a buck under a tree and two does in a field across the road. Dad dropped me off on the ridge stand and i got in and got comfy and waited.  At about 7:45 i heard leaves crunching on the other side of the creek down below. It stopped and I stood up slowly and started looking for a deer body and the next time he moved i saw him. He creeped towards the creek, stopped , got a drink and slowly fed up the ridge. I had a 15 yard shot but he was quartering towards me so i loosened the tension on my bowstring. He kept walking right up towards my treestand and he walked behind a tree.  I drew my bow and I saw the shot in my head,  I released and watched my arrow sink into his lungs and i was amazed with my heart pounding i was relieved.  I heard him cross the creek and crash around.  I got down from my stand at 9:20 and followed the blood trail for 75 yards or so.  There he laid, I yelled Yes! and went and looked for my Dad.Gannon
