Thanks for the comments Allan. I am fairly certain that neither the Nyala or the Wildebeest is dead. Sore shoulders for sure, but not dead. I was somewhat disappointed in my shooting as both these shots were well within my "comfort zone". On the Nyala I have an excuse; I hit a limb. On the wildebeest there are no excuses; just poor shooting. That is why they call it hunting and not just killing. Sometimes things happen. When I was in the process of taking the shot on the wildebeest I knew I was going to make a good shot but when I let go it did not happen.

By the way, the wildebeest is on the top of my hit list for next trip.

Bisch,
I feel your pain. I had my challanges on the darned Impala. I just could not get the timing  down on the quick drop of the Impala. I gave two a sore shoulder over at Melorani. At least you and I did good on the darned Guineas. I shot on also, but my PH forgot to give me my feathers. I really wanted some guinea feathers.
Really enjoyed your story.

Hey Pip, I did better than a few feathers. Since I did not get the Nyala or Wildebeest that I was expecting to have to pay taxidermy on I went ahead and had the guinea mounted for a table top mount. Can't wait to see how that one turns out.
