Fellow Tradgangers-I should have posted here but forgot about this category for our group! Anyways, I fell off my bicycle on June 29, 2014, and landed full force on my left shoulder and tore my rotator cuff. I had surgery September 24th. I never would have guessed how painful this is, and it is still hurting bad almost 7 weeks after surgery. Needless to say, my hunting season is done for the year! But that is okay because the good Lord always has plans for us somehow! I started my physical therapy late last week and my intentions are to do the exercises with due diligence and come back stronger than before!
My family and friends have been awesome and really taking care of me. Bowhunting friends are sending texts/pics and I read Tradgang to get the hunting fix! Lol
I've never done anything like this before, but I am most humbly asking you to say a prayer for me to help the pain go away and my shoulder to heal as quickly as possible. Thank you very much and good luck to all our Tradgang members!

Do every thing your PT tells you & nothing more!  Been there, got the t-shirt. You will be fine. Prayers with you for patience and diligence

Hi Kenny,
September a year ago I dumped my bike twice going up the same hill. Was getting ready for a race. First time was not so bad, second time made me say "uncle" and I still had 8 miles back to the Jeep. Had a real hard time putting the bike back on the rack.

When to my Ortho doctor and he said I had a separated shoulder. It flat out hurt and made me make funny faces when I would draw my bow back. He said take it easy and if you want to get it fixed we can do that, otherwise it will be a couple months until you really start feeling a difference. It has been 14 months to be exact and that is with no surgery.

Be patient, it will heal and you probably will be stronger. I will be praying for patience for you,you already had the hard part done.Take care of yourself and listen to your rehab people.

Oh, and by the way,it was my left shoulder also. It is amazing when you fall dead weight how hard you hit. Doesn't even have to be far.

                                                 Take care,
                                                            Craig
