I just received a Shakespeare Mdl 600, 45#/28"draw, and put a string on it. Shoots nice, not that powerful, but seems 'swift'. My own-made arrows flew good. It seems it was made about 1960-61.., any input..? Thanks, Mik

Sounds like the bow I bid on.  I have one @35#.
The 600 is one of three longbows that Shakespeare made. Looks like a semi recurve, but the string does not touch the limbs. Funny thing a few years after I picked it up I was digging through some of my stuff and found a box of strings made by Shakespeare just for the model 600. You can have one for free if you want. Lots more info here:  Shakespearearchery.blogspot.com see 5/31/2014 blog. Great site.
