I recently acquired 3 older recurves for the fantastic price of free!  They are a Wing Falcon 32#, Shakespeare x26 Necedah #45, and a Ben Pearson BP-h70 #50. They are all in good condition and shoot well (I strung them and shot them myself).  Where I need help is...I offered to help a buddy in need out, and give him one of the bows to get started shooting traditional.  He is looking at a bow for deer hunting, so I am between giving him the Shakespeare or the Pearson.  Is one better than the other or worth significantly more?  Just want to know what I'm giving away.  Any help/info is appreciated.

I doubt there is a lot difference between the two of them...both nice bows for someone getting started

I set out a while ago to reduce my herd of 40 bows...And I am finally down to 42

Yes either of the two heavier bows are pretty much equals and are what a lot of us older guys would have typically shot back as teens. That 32# wing bows will be a great bow to work on your shooting form too. None of the bows are particularly valuable. But that does not mean they will not be good bows.THE Shakespeare Necada is known as a fine shooting bow.Get the right arrows set up for it and you will have Some fun time getting ready for a hunt this fall.

I agree, either would be a great hunting bow, similar value. Keep which ever one feels/shoots the best for you.
We are all here because we are not all there.

The Shakespeare would be the smoothest drawing and easiest bow for a beginner to shoot out of the three.
