Holy Carp (not the fish either LOL), I got this recipe from our baker at work, and after making them up this morning for an afternoon Archery Shoot-A-Q, I just had to share it with all of you.

Dry ingredients combined in a large bowl and mixed together:

6 Cups rice crispies
6 Cups corn flakes
3 Cups chocolate chips

Combine the next ingredients in a saucepan mix and bring to boil:

2 Cups corn syrup
2 Cups packed brown sugar

Once mixture comes to a boil, remove from heat and put 2 cups of peanut butter in molten goodness.  Let sit till the peanut butter melts.  Stiring will help the peanut butter melt.  Add 1 Tsp vanilla extract and mix in good.

Pour molten goodness into bowl with dry ingredients and using a stiff spatula or wooden spoon, mix together thoroughly and let sit for 10 minutes.

While heaven is sitting in the bowl "developing",
get out a cookie sheet and line with parchment paper.  After the 10 minute wait time, dump into center of cookie sheet, and once again, use a stiff spatula or wooden spoon to spread over the parchment papered cookie sheet, and let harden.  Then enjoy.

THAT's IT.

Here is my 6 and 7 year olds.  If you look close you can see where the boys had to sample the batch to make sure it wasn't poison.  LOL

Yummy! Mike that looks great, and I'm pretty sure my wife would like these too. Between you and Rob today looks like I'm gonna be spending a little time in the kitchen!!! Thanks for the recipe and pics.

It looks great! How sticky and messy is it to eat? Have you tried to use oatmeal instead of corn flakes?
I would've taken better care of myself,if I'd known I was gonna live this long!

Mike Vines

Not messy at all.  They are just like nobake cookies.  No, they are desert.  There shouldn't be oatmeal in desert, but of course that is just my opinion.

Mike brought Grizz bars to an archery shoot / BBQ at my place and they were the highlight of the event.  They're excellent!

Thanks for sharing the recipe Mike!
