Last night I heated up the cast iron skillet, chopped up some onion, and mushrooms, threw on some butter and two nice venison chops. A few minutes later I was in deer meat heaven. I have had venison cooked many ways, but this is still my favorite way by far. I washed it all down with a cold one and couldn't be happier, Dan.
First I shoot, then I pick my target...I never miss!

Dan, simple is generally the best. If you watch the cook shows on T.V.. They leave the impression that you can't cook anything right without all the gagetry and exotic spices, tat we can hardly pronounce.L.O.L. We know that just ain't so, don't we?   :)

Dan, I second the simple recipe. I had the exact same dish tonight (and yes it has to be done in cast iron) topped off with lima beans and candied yams. Plus, of course, a COLD one. When all my boys get home for the holidays we'll sit down to a big pan of the same. Yum Yum
The scent of Autumn is like food to the hunters soul.
