Well I thought I better learn myself how to splice up some feathers so this is my first go and it was easy after you've done it!I did it the long way though, and I was shocked at just how long it took!

These arrows are for my Wife, Kelly, as she is starting to get the urge back for Archery.

I wrote on them... "My last Breath" in latin. Something I always promised her I'd give. I always told her that when away in the Infantry/Army. On operations and at home. Fitting for a set of arrows I thinks!

Yep, splicing is definately a labor intensive process. So much so, I'd do some for my wife or boys, but probably not for myself or anyone else again!

Shakes, I just used a fine nikko (ink) pen and did it between coats. Never comes off.
Oh and a steady hand with neat writing helps too.
