Is it a good practice to un string your bow when not shooting. Will any harm come to the bow leaving it strung up. It has a Cocobolo handle
Red Elm laminations under clear fiberglass.
Thank You :campfire:
I would leave it strung up. No harm will come to the bow as long as you don`t leave it in a hot car or someplace hot.
It's the case with my Black widow bow, when that this one is not used the bow is strunged it is better for the bow adjustments especially between frequents going out but when it is spaced more, this one I unstrunged
What I was told by a bowyer a few years ago was this: If you shoot a few times a week, or more, leave it strung. You are far more likely to damage it during the stringing and unstringing process than by leaving it strung.
If stringing and unstringing is a concern, leave it strung. I prefer not to store a bow with tension on the limbs and the string. I believe this is the lesser of the two evils.
