Im pretty new to trad and starting to build my own arrows.Looking for some advice on a good set up kit or books on wood and aluminum.

Well, I don't know from diddly, but Im starting my first batch of wood arrows this weekend, hope to have them finished next week. Seeing as you're from Latham, you should try Lemme's archery shop on central ave. The new owner is a trad shooter and will be able to set you up well. He makes a pretty decent arrow to boot.
We're neighbors BTW, I live in Niskayuna.
