What your flashlight for tracking blood at night, I carry PETZL headlamp and a Duracell flashlight, This year on the LTR was on a blood trail with Terry Green and Tom and Terry's flashlight were super bright and lasted long time.
Here is the flashlight I use. It does have little hole for a lanyard but I don't put it around my neck.
I also use my Husky head light. It also has multiple color LEDs. And can be adjusted to spotlight or flood light.
I've found that the Coast Flashlights have worked really well for me for their size and lumens. I did buy a Husky Hand Held Floodlight that is 2,500 lumens and is rechargeable and works off regular batteries also.
I am ordering a Peak headlamp I think it will work well.

I use headlamps constantly, not just for tracking. I have been through them all. I used a Peak last year, and it might be my favorite. Excellent choice.
For bloodtrailing, I always have several lights. A good headlamp like Peak is a start. Some of the Surefire super bright tactical lights are excellent, they are always in my bag.
It used to be that a Coleman lantern was a great choice....todays tactical lights offer such amazing illumination in a small package.
Terry needs a bright flashlight cause he's scared of the dark:)
I use the atomic beam flashlights. They're really bright and pretty cheap. I have several that I have spread around so that I've always got one.
I carry a Fenix HP25R headlamp in my pack with a spare 18650 battery. I also carry a Fenix PD35 handheld (also uses the 18650 battery) in a jacket pocket. Both are teriffic and long lasting lights.
My headlamp is a LEDLenser, adjustable brightness 3 levels. Comes white light and a green and red cover.
My flashlight is a Fenix 3 level.
Both are rechargeable with i love.
I think the three levels of brightness. It's the best option. When you get on your hands and knees, you can have a flashlight that is so bright at night looking for blood that it glares back at you. I have also trailed many animals with me. This flashlight and another model, a Fenix I bought from the Wensels, for years and have trailed over a half a dozen animals during the daytime with these lights also.
I just found a great price on a bow light also that's green. I'll be trying it out tonight.
