I had a little luck yesterday morning hunting on our farm yesterday. This 11 point buck came in at 7:35 and presented a slightly quartering away shot. The homemade douglas fir arrow passed through both lungs and resulted in a short recovery. I spent the day processing the meat. It took 2 glasses of Wild Turkey and a long hot tub session to heal up a little.
Beautiful Buck! Congrats.
I happened to get a trail camera photo of the buck just seconds before the shot. The photo looks pretty dark, but it was 20 minutes after legal shooting light. I should have mentioned that I used my 62", 50 pound Wild Horse Creek Destiny longbow.
That's awesome.
Oh the agony of processing :biglaugh: But nothing that a few glasses of bourbon can't fix for sure. Congratulations on a great deer.
Nice buck, Horsey!

Shot a buck the same night and am the same age as you but your buck was a lot bigger and your shot a lot better. Great job!
All I had was a Shiner beer.
wowza!
many congratulations!!!
Fine harvest...
Great buck! I agree cutting up a deer definitely gets tougher every year as we get older, more drinking required.
