I have three of the re-introduction Kodiaks but recently came into an original one to use as a winter refinish project. I am thinking it is a '59 model, but know those years had subtle little differences and just wanna confirm. It is 60" and 54 lbs. What I can make of the serial # appears to be A4354. I post some photos...

I cleaned it up tonight some and the serial number is AA4384
Another correction, once I could actually read the side of the bow... it is 56" bow
it is a 1959 and 56 inch is the hardest to come by. You see 60 and 64 inch a lot but not so much 56 inch.
Sent you a PM
did not receive pm
I think he meant he sent one to me. I received it and responded.
That's a beautiful rare bird my friend!! Lucky bugger to have found a 56 incher. Please post pics after you refinish her.
Not going to be a refinish. I spent about ten hours of elbow grease on it over the weekend with cleaners and wax. It is coming out gorgeous, especially the riser. Limbs are straight with no crazing or stress marks. Beautiful bow.

Glad you decided not to refinish. I think it's a good decision.
Thanks for the advice

Very good advice, that rare one cleaned up nicely!
John, my Tee shirt is finally worn out. Got any more? LOL

Nice job of cleaning that old warrior up! I love the ones that show the evidence of going afield .
Good job on the clean up. Always nicer if you don't have to refinish.
The brass or copper medallion says 1959. You've got a special bow here. The 64"shootsthe best but the 56"is very rare.
