This one is in AEBL steel at 61HRC. I left the point on mine a bit less needle like because it's for me and I've had problems popping the tips off my cheap Rapala filets. It's a full height shallow convex grind and hair popping sharp. 6.5" blade length which should be perfect for the crappie which I most often fish for and simple boning work in the field/kitchen. It's handled in bead blasted canvas micarta with natural canvas micarta pins. There's nothing fancy or flashy about this one but I kind of like it.

There's something special about a less flashy blade that makes it more so to me. Elegant simplicity, and that's got it in spades.
Thanks! I agree to a large extent. Sometimes it's nice to do simple, clean work and make a well made, quality, affordable, no frills user. A good chunk of my personal knives are simple bead blasted canvas micarta sheathed in kydex. Some of them are extravagant. I have very few that are somewhere in between.
