Title: Tejon Hog with Homemade Bow
Post by: beachbowhunter on April 22, 2013, 11:09:00 AM
I went elk hunting for hogs at Tejon Ranch last month. Knocked down a nice sow with the bow I built with Cupcake (check out his new design on Powwow). I had Bill Dunn make me a quiver from a slice off of the riser block. 64" double carbon 57#@27".

I used some 150gr SteelForce Hellfire BHs instead of my usual Stingers just to check them out. I liked them a lot. Thicker and longer main blade and way bigger bleeders...and less expensive. Not sold on the ferrule (seems weak) and the back edge of the main blade could be sharpened. Not as sharp as the Stingers out of the package either.

This is for you Bill..
